Nach Produktionseinstellung der Hope Race Bremse kommt hier der Nachfolger, die neue leichte XC Scheibenbremse mit Carbonbremshebel und Titanschrauben. Für Langlebigkeit kommt diese eloxiert und Hopetypisch gefräst daher.

Mit dem jüngsten Wiederaufleben der Trail/XC-Bikes mit kürzerem Federweg ist jetzt der perfekte Zeitpunkt, um die neue XCR-Bremse von Hope anzukündigen. Sie ist leichter, leistungsfähiger, ergonomischer und hat ein besseres Hebelgefühl als alles, was sie bisher angeboten haben. Es ist eine leichte Bremse ohne Kompromisse, egal ob du Rennen fährst oder auf dem Trail unterwegs bist.

Der minimale, radial angeordnete Hauptzylinder behält den einfachen Entlüftungsprozess mit seinem konventionellen Reservoir bei und bietet dennoch eine Reichweiteneinstellung sowie eine neue klappbare Lenkerklemme für reduziertes Gewicht und einfache Installation. Neue Hebelbuchsen sorgen für reduzierte Reibung und eine superleichte Hebelbewegung, die mit einem Carbon-Hebelblatt vollendet wird, wobei die Bremse nur in einer silber eloxierten Ausführung erhältlich ist.

Die Bremse ist mit einer Sonderausführung des X2-Bremssattels gepaart, der mit Aluminium-Belägen und einem schlanken, flachen, gecrimpten Anschluss ausgestattet ist. Eine konventionelle Olive wird am Hebelende beibehalten, um eine einfache Schlauchkürzung zu ermöglichen.

Important reading for every working woman!

Let me start by saying that this isn't a genre I am normally drawn to. I usually am a fiction reader, but a trusted friend recommended this book so highly that I felt I should give it a chance. I'm so glad I put aside my hesitation, as I really feel this is a book that every woman in the American workforce should read. It is a fascinating primer in how we got where we are, and how much effort it took to gain even our somewhat compromised equality. While the legal issues involved can be a little complex, Thomas does an excellent job of breaking them down into straightforward concepts. I also really appreciated her ability to make the whole process of moving a case up through the Court of Appeals and eventually to the Supreme Court come to life. For those of us who are not in the legal profession, this process can seem mysterious, but this book made it easy to understand. By clearly and patiently laying out the facts of each case, Thomas also gives the reader the opportunity to test their own assumptions and think through the logic of the cases for themselves. For me, it was a fascinating opportunity to weigh my assumptions about my political leanings against my intellectual analysis of the facts, and I often surprised myself. All in all, I think this is an important book, and also a surprisingly accessible and engaging one. You will feel smarter and much more informed after reading it. And if you are a woman, you may well also feel grateful for those brave women (and men) who fought and struggled to make your experience in the workplace fairer.

I wanted to educate myself on some of the issues that are presented in this book. If you're looking for just factual case-law and supreme court decisions this is not the book you're looking for. This book presents the cases in a story and gives a lot of detail about what went on in the lives of the people involved in these lawsuits outside of the courtroom. The only thing that I wish would have been talked about in greater detail would be a more in-depth look at the opinions and reasons from the justices that were not voting in favor of the plaintiffs.
