The Whittet-Higgins CCM-055 is a one-piece metric clamp collar that secures bearings and other power transmission components anywhere along a shaft. A single socket head cap screw draws the collar tight around the shaft, creating a mechanical self-locking grip that resists loosening from vibration, shock, and torque without cutting or repairing a keyway.
Machined with a carbon steel collar body and a hardened alloy clamp screw, it provides more secure holding than a set screw collar while allowing infinite axial adjustment on both soft and hardened shafts. A black oxide coating with wax finish guards against corrosion, and the design is rated for operation up to 300°F. Manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
