The British writer Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett also wrote A Little Princess & The Secret Garden. Little Lord Fauntleroy was firstly published as a serial in St. Nicholas Magazine between November 1885 and October 1886. This children’s book even had an impact on fashion! Burnett’s description of the Fauntleroy suit combined with Reginald Birch’s lovely illustrations influenced the way in which American kids dressed.
