Hypna is a bed with a new function and a new use, which is characterised by its screen type Headboard. Thanks to its minimalist form and its restrained dimensions, it is suitable for large bedrooms as well as rooms of a more modest size. The Headboard with its movable sides allows, by opening or closing it, to create different configurations and to create a room within the room if necessary. The closed position responds to the wish of a search for protection, a space for retreat and rest. The opening of the movable wings enlarges the sleeping area in its function - creating space for additional furniture such as a small Bedside Table or a bench, and at the same time formally opening the sleeping area to the rest of the room. The vertical lines, attributes of the Headboard, highlight the function and are also a formal element. The geometry of the tapestry is related to the vertical lines, and thus clearly communicates an invitation to rest and interact.
