Overview
The Problem with Supersonic Transport
In an era of aerospace marvels, the supersonic transport (SST) stood out. By the mid-1960s, multiple nations were chasing the goal of an SST passenger jet. Imagine traveling from New York to L.A. in less than two hours – it was the verge of a revolution in air travel! But there were problems.
Budget overruns and projections of enormous operating costs were limiting the passenger SST’s appeal. But the real death knell to an international fleet of SSTs was the excessive sound – these super-fast jets were simply too noisy.
The SST’s thunderous “sonic booms” – faster-than-sound shock waves – were critically loud. The excessive noise of the SSTs led to the banning of their activity over the continental US, with other nations following suit.
Supersonic flights were eventually limited to ocean routes, causing most nations to drop their SST projects. England and France jointly developed a single model which was produced in very limited numbers. In the end, the revolution never came.
A Solution to the Sonic Boom Problem
Fast forward to today. After decades of test flights and analysis, a solution may finally be at hand: The Low-Boom SST. By adjusting critical aspects of aircraft features like nose shape, fuselage length, wing surface area, engine output, etc., researchers can cut down the duration and power of the sonic boom. Nowadays, aviation engineers are safely flying "Low-boom" supersonic test aircraft and working on passenger jet designs.

Decent driver, but no real torque control
Size: No Size, Style: 4V Screwdriver_Twist 2.0 2pc Set
As others have noted, this driver works well overall, but would be better if the head could go to 90° instead of just 45°, and it comes in an extremely hard to open package. I'd like to point out a couple of other things that I haven't seen mentioned.
First, although this tool claims to have torque control via the three-level setting on the handle, it's not like most drills and drivers. With them, when the maximum torque setting is reached, a clutch disengages and the tool just 'freewheels.' But this Skil driver runs until the motor stalls, and its three settings merely control when that happens. In practical terms, that means the tool can wrench your wrist pretty badly. Even at the lowest setting the torque is considerable, making it all too easy to strip threads or even break off screw heads. This also makes it more likely to injure your wrist.
Also, in case it wasn't obvious, this tool's battery is not user-replaceable. If it runs out of power in the middle of a job... too bad. And when eventually it gets to the point where it will no longer hold a charge, Skil's only suggestion is to "Have the tool serviced by an Authorized SKIL Service Station." If you can find one, that is. If you don't want a disposable tool, this is probably not for you.
Don't get me wrong--I like this driver, and it has already come in handy in a few situations where my regular drill/driver would have been too bulky to fit. But it's good to know its limitations.
Skil also makes a smaller, less expensive 4 V screwdriver that lacks the adjustable-angle head of this one. If a straight power screwdriver is all you need, that one is worth considering:
