Antminer D7 Water Cooling Plate Kit – Complete Liquid Cooling Upgrade
This Antminer D7 water cooling plate kit is a complete retrofit that replaces the stock air-cooled heatsink with a forced liquid circulation system. The kit includes 6 aluminium alloy water cooling plates, 2 water cooling separators, 2m of silicone water pipe, 2m of main water pipe and all necessary clamps. The aluminium plates provide efficient heat transfer from the hashboard ASIC chips into the coolant loop, delivering lower chip temperatures, eliminated fan noise and longer component life.
Benefits of Water Cooling a D7
The D7 mines Dash (X11 algorithm) and generates substantial heat across its hashboards. Stock air cooling works but produces significant noise and is limited in hot climates or dense rack environments. Water cooling transfers heat through liquid circulation — far more efficient per watt than forced air. The result is 10–20°C lower peak chip temperatures, no thermal throttling, zero fan noise and extended ASIC lifespan. The kit also includes emergency protection features that prevent hashboard burnout if coolant flow drops.
Installation Overview
Remove stock heatsinks and fans from each hashboard. Apply fresh thermal paste to the ASIC chip surfaces. Mount the cooling plates using original mounting points. Connect plates with silicone pipes and clamps, route main pipes to your external pump and radiator. Fill with distilled water or dedicated coolant, bleed air and power on. Monitor chip temperatures in the dashboard — a properly installed loop shows significantly lower and more uniform readings.
