An outstanding pair of Japanese antique satsuma porcelain plates, made in Japan late Meiji period to early Tashio period, very fine artwork on these piece and depicts a Finley painted landscape to each including mountains, within bands of burnt red and gold to the pinched rims , where you will find a nice under glaze makers mark, to the fronts is a scene of a exotic bird next to the water and with Mount Fuji in the background and a stunning bamboo plant, the other again very finely painted and with excellent gold work, the plates measures 8.6”across, the reverse has two satsuma makers marks in red and gold , the condition is very good, no damage or repairs on these great original pieces, ready for display and with look good in any room.
