KORBEL PROSECCO DOC SPARKLING WINE 750 MLThe Prosecco DOC Korbel Prosecco is produced and bottled entirely in the Prosecco DOC, Demoninazione di Origine Controllata, located in North Eastern Italy. Here along the hillsides and valleys, the Glera grape thrives, and provides local producers the base wine from which Prosecco is made.

The Prosecco DOC
Korbel Prosecco is produced and bottled entirely in the Prosecco DOC, Demoninazione di Origine Controllata, located in North Eastern Italy. The Prosecco zone overlaps much of Italy’s cool white wine growing regions, the Veneto and Friuli, and is located close to the famous medieval city of Venice. Here along the hillsides and valleys, the Glera grape thrives, and provides local producers the base wine from which Prosecco is made.

Winemaking
Korbel Prosecco is produced in the fully sparkling Italian spumante style. The process starts by harvesting the Glera grapes and gently pressing them to make a delicate crisp white wine with only about 10% alcohol. After the first, primary, fermentation, multiple lots of the base wine are blended and filtered to prepare for the Metodo Martinotti sparkling wine process. The Metodo Martinotti process was invented in Italy, but is now known more popularly by its French equivalent, the Charmat process.
In the Martinotti process, the carbonation of the Prosecco is achieved by a natural secondary fermentation in a stainless steel tank. As the second fermentation progresses, carbon dioxide gas is produced which builds pressure in the sealed tank. Eventually, the carbon dioxide dissolves into the wine. The wine is then filtered and bottled on specialized equipment that preserves the carbonation.
Wine Notes
Just as with Korbel California champagnes, Korbel Prosecco is focused on a fruit- forward style. The goal is to make a Prosecco that is light, crisp and fun to drink. The aromas are of white peaches, pear and lemon zest. The flavors are delicate, bright and alive on the tongue. Korbel Prosecco is finished with an Extra Dry level of sweetness, which softens the wine without making it noticeably sweet.
Food Pairing
Korbel Prosecco is all about lightness, tangy bubbles and fun. Keep the foods light and fun too. Canapes are perfect, try prosciutto and melon, chilled braised asparagus, calamari fritter and local artisanal cheeses. Or if you want to try something different, try Korbel Prosecco with your favorite or nigiri sushi.

Pretty Good
Color: Red Nylon Yellow Hotdog
The toy is good for a heavy chewer, but is very slippery. You may want to rough it up a bit before giving it to your dog so they can hold onto it.

WARNING - EXTREMELY SHARP AREAS
Color: Yellow Nylon Corn on the Cob, Color: Yellow Nylon Corn on the Cob
UPDATE: The 2nd one I ordered was exactly the same with the sharp parts in the same areas as the first one. I cannot stress enough that a few points are sharp enough to cut or badly scratch. So if you’re planning on putting some food on it so your pup can lick, this is not the product you want! This could still scratch or cut the gums if used as a chew toy too though. I was thinking about sanding the sharp points but then I have no idea if that exposes any chemicals somehow? Really wanted this to work out! I took this corn on the cob toy out of the plastic to wash it and before I even got to the sink I realized there were several areas that are super sharp. A few sharp enough that could cut or badly scratch! It was sealed in a plastic bag and shows no signs of being used so this defect must happen at the manufactures level. I added a video showing how easily it snags a cotton ball, cotton pad and even a beanie. Please thoroughly check your item before giving it to your pup! I was so excited to put some smashed banana on this thing and give it to my guy and thank god I checked it first! I’m going to return it and see if a 2nd one is any better and I’ll update if it is or isn’t. Also, the super sharp spots were very hard to photograph which is why I added the video.
