The Milesight UG56 is a robust, 8-channel indoor LoRaWAN® gateway, engineered for high-performance and reliable connectivity in smart buildings, smart industries, and a wide range of other indoor applications. At its core, the UG56 features the advanced Semtech SX1302 LoRa chip and a powerful quad-core CPU, enabling it to support connections with over 2000 nodes. This gateway ensures extensive coverage with a line of sight up to 15 km and effective penetration of about 2 km in urban environments, capable of covering up to three floors within a building.
Seamless Integration and Flexible Management
Designed for versatility, the UG56 provides multiple backhaul connectivity options, including a Gigabit Ethernet port and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, ensuring your network remains online. It offers deep integration capabilities with built-in mainstream network servers like The Things Stack and ChirpStack, alongside its own embedded network server and compatibility with the Milesight IoT Cloud for straightforward deployment. For developers and system integrators, the gateway supports BACnet/IP for seamless integration into Building Management Systems (BMS) and provides tools like Node-RED and Python SDK for secondary development.
Industrial-Grade and Secure by Design
Housed in a rugged, IP30-rated metal enclosure, the UG56 is built for durability in industrial settings. Its compact design allows for flexible installation on a desktop or wall. Security is paramount, with support for multiple VPN protocols such as OpenVPN and IPsec, ensuring that your data transmissions are always secure. The gateway also features a 'Listen Before Talk' (LBT) function, which allows it to monitor the network for activity before transmitting, enhancing the integrity of downlink data.
