Texas based elemental dark metal ensemble Dead To A Dying World have completed work on their poignant new epoch, Elegy. Following up 2015's ambitious Litany, this latest sees the septet take their creative spirit to a new apotheosis, resulting in the collective's most focused and moving opus yet. The band craft their vast aural landscape with a flourish consisting of seamless sonic textures guided by apocalyptic dark metal, doom, and epic cinematic post rock, consisting of three monolithic central tracks reinforced by three stirring interval segments.Melodic surges thrive throughout the album's discourse, whether through the more aggressive post-black metal parts or the more melancholic parts. The dual vocal projection of Mike Yeager and Heidi Moore continues to serve as a defining staple, while the band continue to expand their instrumentation, solidified even more through Eva Vonne's viola which continues to bridge and become a central element, as well as including outer-sound instruments like expanded experimental percussion, hurdy gurdy, hammond organ / piano, and concert bass. Once again produced by Billy Anderson, this being one of the acclaimed producer's most riveting productions he's done in recent times, the band also welcomes back a small cast of guest musicians. Featuring guest appearances by Thor Harris (ex-Swans) on four tracks alone, along with guest vocals by Jarboe (ex-Swans), Dylan Desmond (Bell Witch), and Emil Rapstine (The Angelus), the contributions from the new contingent of guests helps elevate the narrative of Elegy to a new plateau.

Reliable, Comfortable, and Good-Looking Chair — I Keep Coming Back to It

This is my fourth time purchasing this Amazon Basics mid-back office chair, which says a lot about its overall value. It looks clean and modern, fits well in a home office, and is genuinely comfortable for daily use. I typically get about a year and a half out of each one, which feels reasonable given the price point and materials.
Out of the box, the chair is easy to assemble and immediately comfortable. The padding is supportive, the armrests are well positioned, and the faux leather gives it a more upscale appearance than many chairs in this category. It rolls smoothly, swivels easily, and works well for long computer sessions without causing back or shoulder fatigue.
That said, this is not a lifetime chair. After extended use, the cushioning and structure do begin to wear, and that’s usually when I replace it. Still, considering the comfort, appearance, and cost, it remains one of the best value office chairs I’ve found — which is why I keep buying it again.
Pros:
• Comfortable padding and good mid-back support
• Clean, modern appearance that looks great in an office
• Smooth rolling and stable base
• Easy assembly
• Excellent value for the price
Cons:
• Durability is moderate; expect replacement after about 1½ years
• Not designed for long-term heavy-duty use
Verdict:
If you want a comfortable, attractive, and affordable office chair that performs well for daily use, this is a strong choice. It may not last forever, but its comfort and value make it easy to recommend — and easy to repurchase.

Good Basic Chair with a Few Drawbacks

I bought this Amazon Basics office task chair for my boyfriend who works from home. Overall, it’s a decent, simple chair that gets the job done for everyday use, especially if you just need something functional and affordable.
However, there are a couple of downsides. The recline doesn’t go back as much as he would like, so it’s not ideal if you prefer to lean back and relax between tasks. Also, after about a month of use, the wheels don’t glide as smoothly as they did at first, which can be a bit frustrating when rolling across the floor.
Overall, it’s a solid basic chair for light use, but if you want something with a deeper recline or super smooth mobility long-term, you might want to consider other options. Still a reasonable purchase depending on your needs.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid

I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well!
The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something!
The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!
