LP version. Dial presents another album from Germany's Thies Mynther and Dirk von Lowtzow aka Phantom/Ghost. "We started out writing new material to perform on stage, after we had found out it was great fun to refrain our instrumentation to vocals, piano and bad acting. Originally very attracted to the - as our label told US - very clandestine idea of releasing three 12"s with very limited playability for DJs, we agreed not to ruin our Dial friends and work on an album instead. The topics we have always been drawn to are those with a bouquet of rather ominous sweetness, but this time to get rid of some of the ghosts conjured up during our seances proved not as easy as it is hopefully now easy on the ears to listen to this condensed summary of our insights. Some wonderful guests helped US through the mirror: our associated member, visual artist Michaela Meise, lends US her bell-like voice. She joins in the second bird hymn in the history of Phantom/Ghost, 'In the Tittery,' and embodies the role of the lonely concubine in our micro musical 'Phantom of the Operette.' the amazing violoncello player Boram Lie, founding member of the Kaleidoskop Ensemble, currently also performing with Brandt Brauer Frick and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, gave the dead golems of cello arrangements we handed her so carelessly a life and expressivity we would not have dreamed of. Always operating on the verge of our capabilities ourselves (sometimes you might hear a groan on the piano track), we needed to finish the album with a rusty trombone performed with the fragile resoluteness of someone experienced in self-display, but just getting acquainted with the instrument. We found the perfect cast in actor Thomas Niehaus who accepted the challenge in the most elegant way. But we invite you herewith to decide for yourself whether you would like to join US for the ride..."

Great socks / a bit expensive
Size: Large, Color: Black
These may be the Goldilocks of the socks I've tried. They have nearly the same quality as the MUCH pricier Darn Tough Vertex Ultralight Cushion Cool Max socks (also reviewed). They have better quality, and a higher price, than a similar pair of PUMA socks (also reviewed).
Pros: Very well made, with no loose stitching, comfortable forefoot and heel cushioning, good ventilation via top mesh, good arch compression, minimal logos and mostly solid color.
Cons: Price is a bit on the high side, but better than the Darn Tough socks.
I could honestly have made a good case for any of these three (ASICS, PUMA, or Darn Tough), which explains their collective high ratings. I did the top 3 reviews first. When I get a chance, I'll go back and review the average and terrible :)
If money is no object, get the Darn Tough Vertex. If you're price sensitive, and willing to compromise a bit on quality, go with the PUMAs, which is what I did. Otherwise, these ASICS are near the same quality as the Darn Tough, but less expensive. Tough decisions :)

They fit perfectly
Size: X-Large, Color: Black
My favorite socks, the fit is great, they are comfortable and they are long enough so it covers my ankles, therefore, they don't rub against my inner shoe.

Great buy.
Size: Medium, Color: Black
These socks have a cool fresh feel to them. I bought new running shoes, Hoka Bondi 9, and they feel great paired up with them. Similar socks in the store were $49. I tried several others brands like Sauchony and 2 other lesser known brands but there was something indescribably different. I purchased another pack immediately.

Comfort
Size: Medium, Color: Black
I have been wearing ASICS socks since forever! As a distance runner, I have worn many others from different companies, and I always come back! Also, i am not a fan of the invisible kind, and ASCIS seems to be the only ones to make the socks that are above the shoe, are durable, comfortable, I have no desire to look elsewhere. Thanks ASICS!
