The Rat TUBB (Tubulin Beta) ELISA immunoassay kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat TUBB. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat TUBB and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat TUBB, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Rat TUBB. You can calculate the concentration of Rat TUBB in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Great cream, not so great price

My one year old has recently started to have eczema in these warmer months and I had heard good things about this ointment so I wanted to give it a try. I grew up with eczema and still have ongoing issues with it and didn’t want her to have to go through the same thing. I also wanted to avoid steroid creams if at all possible so I went straight for “the big guns” and purchased this thinking “oh it has to be the holy grail for this price”. Don’t get me wrong it is a decent eczema cream, but not for the price. You can find much cheaper creams that have the same results. I used this religiously with my daughter and it still did not clear up her eczema. Took her to her pediatrician and ultimately had to use a short term low dose topical steroid that cleared it right up. As far as daily maintenance use I will opt for a less expensive version next time.
