1940s Swedish Oil Painting by Waldemar Marberg1940's, Sweden. Framed Oil painting is signed by artist, dated 1946. Waldemar Marberg was a Swedish painter born in Gothenburg in 1924. He studied drawing with Harald Skogsberg and Nils Wedel and at the Valand art school. He was an assistant to the sculptor Wilhelm Henning. In 1975, he co founded the artistic group Hamngruppen. He mainly painted Gothenburg motifs and passed away in Gothenburg in 1993. Art work comes with a Swedish newspaper write up
