With the growth of the garden club movement in the South during the early years of the twentieth century, interest also developed in identifying and recording the region's important gardens and landscapes. In 1933 Atlanta's Peachtree Garden Club produced Garden History of Georgia, 1733-1933 in recognition of the state's bicentennial.

Part 1 of the book, "Georgia's Early Gardens," by Florence Marye, gives "a comprehensive record of gardening in Georgia from Oglethorpe's day, 1733, to the most modern garden of 1933." Part 2, one of seven publications produced in the South from 1923 to 1939 that surveyed statewide garden histories, documents "Modern Gardens" both formal and rustic throughout all the physiographic regions of the state. Part 3, "Garden Club Projects, Institutional Gardens, School Gardens and Campuses," shows such impressive gardens as Atlanta's West View Cemetery and the campuses of Oglethorpe University, Berry College, and the University of Georgia. Thoughtfully illustrated with period and historic photographs and garden plans, the survey is complemented by a genealogy of Georgia gardens and a summary of historic plants and planting styles.

Garden History of Georgia is a loving document of the gardening history of the state that covers well-known public gardens such as Barnsley Gardens in Bartow County and the Andrew Low House in Savannah, while offering a look at some of Georgia's most impressive private gardens. Distinguished by their variety, the Georgia gardens documented here span just over two hundred years. These homes and gardens still resonate with the modern viewer because they represent the people who created them, their relationship with the natural environment, and a tradition of cultural expression that continues today.

Durable, Perfect Size, and Glows
Color: A) 2-Pack (2.5" Balls)
I bought these for my 23 pound Bojack (Boston Terrier/Jack Russel) mix and he absolutely loves them. He’s an aggressive chewer that has destroyed Kong toys. This ball has just enough flex or give in it that he can’t tear it apart as it compresses in on itself. After about 6 months it started to wear down and tear a bit by the hole so I just tossed it and gave him the other one. I’ll be buying more of these as they wear out over time.

A Must for Nighttime Fetch!!
Color: A) 2-Pack (2.5" Balls)
These are an absolute Must!! We have an ESS who is nearly 2yo and destroys Every toy he has. For some reason, he doesn't try to annihilate these glow balls. If he chomps on them, it's just for a moment while he is bringing it back to you. Has just a little weight to them so it goes far enough when thrown and a nice bounce when we have to play in the house, due to weather. Wish the bright 'glow' held a little longer but stays dim for quite some time and overall, just Awesome! Also purchased the 'chuck it' brand and sent them back because these were so much better. Will be buying more, if ever needed, but haven't had to because they are So Durable.

Awesome quality glow balls
Color: I) 8-Pack (2.5" Balls)
I have bought every glow ball on amazon many times over for my german shepherds. My longest lasting balls have been the chuck-it, they seem to glow longer and not get destroyed but are expensive. These glow balls are our new favorite and not only because of the low price. They hold a good glow longer are heavy duty and fit the chuck-it thrower perfectly. I am stocking up on these. Shipping was also next day so it's 100% buy on these.

Glow in the Dark Balls
Color: 2-Pack (3" Balls)
These balls are ok, not great. The reason they didn’t receive 5 stars is because they are hard/stiff, harder to throw & heavier than the the “Chuck It” glow in the dark balls. They did not hold up to heavy chewers as well as the aforementioned balls.

Wonderful outdoor fetch ball!
Theme: 2 Pack, Size: Medium
This medium sized Chuckit is perfect for my 21 lb dog. It's great for outdoor play. I needed to find an alternative to tennis balls because my pup tears up their outside material. With this ball she can easily play fetch and run around. It's easy for her to grab onto and does not impede her breathing. It's seems sturdy and quite flexible. The medium is perfect for her size.
