After the Apollo program put twelve men on the moon and safely brought them home, anything seemed possible. In this spirit, the team at NASA set about developing the Space Shuttle, arguably the most complex piece of machinery ever created. The world's first reusable spacecraft, it launched like a rocket, landed like a glider, and carried out complicated missions in between. Bold They Rise tells the story of the Space Shuttle through the personal experiences of the astronauts, engineers, and scientists who made it happen--in space and on the ground, from the days of research and design through the heroic accomplishments of the program to the tragic last minutes of the Challenger disaster. In the participants' own voices, we learn what so few are privy to: what it was like to create a new form of spacecraft, to risk one's life testing that craft, to float freely in the vacuum of space as a one-man satellite, to witness a friend's death. A "guided tour" of the shuttle--in historical, scientific, and personal terms--this book provides a fascinating, richly informed, and deeply personal view of a feat without parallel in the human story. No ChatGPT free download
Format: Paperback
This is a great resource for learning things about your Airbnb listing and how to maximize your success, BUT if you are purchasing this book because you read in the Intro, "Elevate your hosting game with Chatgpt", please know the "free download" link/website shared does NOT exist/no longer works. I do wish I had realized that before purchasing.

game changer!
Format: Kindle
Game changer for AirBnB hosting. I've though about this avenue, but there seemed to be so many hurdles, like figuring out the right pricing and making my place stand out. This book was is an excellent guide through it all, with practical tips on everything from interior decor to managing reviews. It will make a real difference in how I will run my Airbnb – less stress, more rave reviews, and hopefully better profits too!

I really liked this book. It answered all my questions about becoming a (successful) host.
Format: Kindle
It answered all my questions about becoming a (successful) host. It's really an instruction manual. I'm a novice and found it easy to understand. It explains how to find a property and the business side of being a host but also how to create a great experience for guests.

I am not a new host by far but I figured let buy some STR books and see what I could learn from others. This one was not disappointing and provided value. Stressing the importance of furnishing based on your target guest pool. Using AI to help manage your STR with the goal of maximizing performance. Author also provides readers access to his free newsletter to download.

Ambitious universe building that starts small
Format: Kindle
Defiance of the Fall is in the Top 5 of my favorite progression fantasy stories (for reference, I think you should at least try the first book of all 5 series with the other 4 series being Primal Hunter, He Who Fights with Monsters, Azarinth Healer, and The Calamitous Bob). The scale of this series world-building is beyond any other series that comes to mind. And the crazy thing is that 16 books in, there's still a TON of room to keep building. I'm hoping the author can keep the series at this quality out to at least 30 books. The series starts out slightly slower-paced, but 16 books in I think that was a good thing as it really sets up the main character and enables a slow build up of their new existence. You learn as the MC does, and at the beginning the MC is still struggling with the basics. But as the main character progresses, that 'world' gets more and more complex and grows vastly in scope (there's a whole giant universe out there), with that complexity being the main challenge of the series. When there is 16 books worth of progress, remembering all the details can get a bit challenging. Book 16 books in, I'm still eagerly reading every book that comes out. All in all, I highly recommend this series and all of the others in my Top 5 list. If I had to round that out to a Top 10, other series I would recommend would be Paths of Akashic, Dual-Class, Grand Game, Unintended Cultivator, and A Thousand Li. None of those latter 5 are a strong as the top 5, but all are worth reading IMO.
