The Kennametal F-AP Series is a medium venturi blast nozzle with a boron carbide liner, polyurethane jacket and 1-1/4″ NPSM polyurethane thread. This version is the most economical option within the boron carbide medium venturi nozzle range. Thanks to the boron carbide liner, this nozzle is particularly suitable for intensive blasting work with aggressive abrasives, such as aluminium oxide and selected mineral abrasives.

In these types of applications, boron carbide generally has a much longer service life than tungsten carbide. As a result, despite the higher purchase price, this nozzle can be more economical in intensive use. The nozzle maintains good blasting performance for a long time and contributes to efficient air and abrasive consumption.

The medium venturi profile is intended for use at short working distances, up to approximately 450 mm from the surface. The F-AP Series is suitable for blast hoses with an internal diameter of 25 mm. Thanks to the polyurethane jacket, this version is lighter than the steel-jacketed F Series.

Boron carbide is more brittle than tungsten carbide. Handle the nozzle carefully and avoid rough handling or dropping it, to prevent cracking in the liner.

Features

  • Medium venturi blast nozzle for short working distances
  • Boron carbide liner for long service life with aggressive abrasives
  • Polyurethane jacket and polyurethane thread
  • Lighter version than the steel-jacketed F Series
  • Suitable for blast hoses with an internal diameter of 25 mm
  • Most effective within approximately 450 mm of the surface being blasted
  • Thread: 1-1/4″ NPSM

Available Sizes and Lengths
Available in bore sizes #3 to #6. All versions have a length of 114 mm. For larger bore sizes, choose the F Series.

Excellent
Format: Paperback
As a second-year cardiology fellow, I used to get very confused with hemodynamics during my cath and CCU rotations. This book is a gem, it is clear and logically written, has great explanations of waves and great illustrations. The constrictive pericarditis, valvular disease, and FFR chapters are impressive with echocardiographic and physiologic correlations. I actually liked everything I read, like the nice differentiation between the pressure tracings of various chambers. Some of it requires multiple reads but it is worth it. I realized that I had missed a great deal of the basic understanding of pressure tracing configuration, wedge pressure, shunts. There are also over 50 cases in a test-answer format probably covering and reviewing most hemodynamic topics. It is like 2 books in 1.

A welcome addition to training in hemodynamics
Format: Paperback
Purchased this book for my husband, the director of the Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Program at a small college. He has been very pleased with the book, calling it a long-overdue addition to the field. It's very helpful in training technologists and others working in Cardiac Cath Labs to recognize hemodynamic waveforms and do calculations. It offers a lot of practice questions in addition to explanations.

Clear Concise
Format: Paperback
I like the way that this book is laid out. Rather than long drawn out droning chapters it is split into shorter more specific sections. The graphics are plenty big. The case examples and guided questions are useful in reinforcing the knowledge. A good resource for any new CVT or CVT student.
