In 2004, the drive to explore shamanism and atavism (the reemergence of traits thought to be lost from the human biology and culture) birthed itself in the creation of Olympia black metal fury, Fauna. Originators of the scene we now know as Cascadian Black Metal, Fauna aims at finding antidotes to the woes of the modern age, and a cathartic expression of the contemporary soul longing for the old ways. On "The Hunt" (2007), which is their second album, Fauna particularly took the chance to explore another facet of the human experience - delving into the themes of initiation, hunter and the hunted, life and death, and the need to engage with unseen forces to sustain one's people with life-giving bounty. "The Hunt" is a collection of soundscapes, blistering black metal, and haunting space. Using carefully crafted sounds recorded from the forest, human movement and other natural elements, Fauna weaves a story that will leave the listener both longing for a prior existence and enthralled by pure, unabashed black metal.

Best fluffy but firm pillows

These pillows are worth every penny! They started off pretty flat but after three days they plumped up well. In addition to them being plump, they are also firm. Exactly what I was looking for. You can shake up the internal stuffing if you want them softer too. They were a bit pricey but I’m going to repurchase and replace all my home pillows with these. I do sleep hot and the cooling side is perfect to lay on. Kept me cool and comfortable. I haven’t had any neck or back pain after switching to these pillows too. Absolutely recommend these for your home. The photo shows how full the pillows are. I have four pillows in the picture plus two smaller other brands. These are definitely fluffier.

Most comfortable pillow I’ve ever slept on

This is the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on. It doesn't mash down like other pillows. Cradles my neck perfectly plus it’s cool. I broke my neck a couple of years ago and this pillow feels very good and comfortable. Definitely recommend to everyone. Ive used it since May and it’s retained its shape.

Smell

The fact that there are not more comments on the smell of these pillows has me worried about some of yall. Listen, I LOVE the weight, and the firmness, it’s perfect for that. However, these pillows are RANK. They have a very strong mildew-ish smell that lingers. I took the outer cover off and washed it and let the pillow air out for a few days, the smell is still very strong when you press your face against it, which one does because it is in fact designed for that purpose. It smells so bad. It’s nauseating. I can smell it through two pillowcases and blanket that I threw on top of them hoping an extra layer would trap the smell. I’ll bake them in the Texas sun tomorrow and hope that helps, because otherwise these are the perfect pillows for someone who wants to feel like they are hugging a torso but can’t stand the sound/feel of someone else breathing. I don’t know…4 stars, if the smell goes away I’ll come back.
Update: many many days later. Either they don’t really smell anymore or I got use to it. They’ve held their firmness and shape well. I like them.

Actually Cooling Pillow

This is a really nice pillow, I was worried it would be too soft or too firm but it's just right and it's actually cooling, it feels cool every time I touch it. I've noticed an improvement in sleep since using it. Would recommend!
