In those compelling moments one transforms. One has the ability to witness the power of nature and the unified parts of life.
There is, often, a ÒkaonaÓ, or hidden meaning, in much of the Hawaiian poetry, chants and contemporary lyrics. This series of paintings attempt to capture this idea through the abstracted and textured panels. Instead of a straightforward landscape painting, the minimal panels allow the audience to participate in the interpretation or find their own hidden meaning.
