Vinyl LP pressing. Tygers of Pan Tang were at the forefront of the NWOBHM releasing their MCA Records debut in 1980. Guitarist John Sykes would go on to join Thin Lizzy and record their final studio album Thunder and Lightning, before joining David Coverdale in Whitesnake and co-writing 9 out of the 11 songs on their multi-platinum 1987 record including "Still of the Night" and "Is This Love." Hellbound, Spellbound: Live 1981 documents the classic Tygers of Pan Tang line up featuring Jon Deverill (vocals), Robb Weir (guitars), John Sykes (guitars), Rocky (bass), and Brian Dick (drums). The show was originally recorded live by Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Depeche Mode) at Nottingham Rock City in 1981 and has now been remixed and remastered by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes/Mike Tramp) in October 2018 at the Medley Studios in Denmark. Colored 180g 2LP-set with liner-notes, original press photos, rare live and behind the scene photos, flyers, interviews and press clippings. A lot of this material has never been published before and will available exclusively on this release.

Long Halloween Prequel
Format: Paperback
We can see here the first try of what would become a legendary duo for Batman, and it's a very decent one. These 3 stories are inspired by 3 different themes: Fear, Madness, and Ghosts. Personally, Madness was the best one; I've always found the Mad Hatter e very curious villain in this world and the tie-in to Bruce's childhood is a nice feat. The Ghosts story feels very rushed once the second spirit visits (Joker), so it lacks depth in the analysis it's trying to do emulating 'A Christmas Carol'.

Just Classic Batman!
Format: Kindle
I don't think I have read these tales in about 20 years. I miss Jeph Loeb on Batman. While I think he put a great spin on Superman, Loeb set the foundation for all of the visual medium for Batman. This collection of three one-shots gives us good Scarecrow and Mad Hatter Halloween stories. My favorite was the final story with a retelling of A Christmas Carol but Halloween and Batman.

A few twists
Format: Paperback
These stories are well written and have a unique take on several beloved characters… I completely recommend this for some light reading in between some of the more intense story’s.

Batman is Awesome!
Format: Paperback
Everytime I read a comic I became entranced. I want to turn page after page. It helps that this issue has Halloween in it. (Miy favorite holiday!)
