"First album - maybe even first physical release? - by this exquisitely odd Massachusetts-based trio of sound-collagers. Violinist, Jen Gelineau, is well known to FTR lovers via her work with Eggs Eggs and Donkey No No. Laptop cruncher Andrea Pensado has likewise released a solo album with us - Without Knowing Why (FTR 203LP, 2015) - as well as one with her old combo, Los Condenados - Yeppers! (FTR 126LP, 2013). New to us is electronics-and-tapes-shuffler Stephanie Germaine, but she proves to be a dab hand at making sonic events wiggle in the air like some many Chinese ash-snakes. Phurnne is around five years old at this point, but they have kept a low profile until now, thinking (perhaps) that the long-form pieces they create are better suited to live performance than passive homebound listening. From my own personal viewpoint that's a crock of whale shit. The music Phurnne invents is so texturally subtle in spots you really need to be able to examine it inside a dark and quiet safe space. Their sound really only achieves it's true stature when you actively listen to it (something that's not always possible in a live setting). The music is so tactile and original in the way it's layered, it kept reminding me of the one Nurse With Wound live show I caught. As with that concert, the difference between 'ordinary' (read: identifiable) sounds, and shards of pure imagination is destroyed here. Standard perceptual delineations are erased. And new terra incognito is being continuously uncovered. This is an album full of wonders. And as cool as the trio is in concert, it's very nice to have their music captured to examine at one's own leisure." -Byron Coley, 2019 Edition of 250.

Asurion Protection is worth it
After 3 years monitor had power issues. Asurion was unable to repair the monitor and provided a full refund with an Amazon Gift Card. Support was excellent and process was quick and easy.

Quick and Fantastic Service!
I include the additional protection for all of my high dollar purchases. This was the first time I have ever had to use it. I had an extension to provide additional screens to my laptop. Unfortunately, it developed an issue. Submitting a claim was easy and straightforward. UPS came the next day to pick it up and I was notified in just a couple of days that it was received. Only a couple of days after that, I received an email stating that my laptop screens were not repairable and I was given an Amazon card for the entire purchase price. I could not have been more pleased, as the purchase price was $599 and was a huge splurge for me in the first place. I was able to quickly replace the screens and back in business in no time. I would recommend this protection plan for any high dollar purchase.

They paid on the policy
I bought a four year replacement policy on my modem and two years into its lifespan it stopped working. I trouble shot with the company but we eventually determined it was dead. I contacted Asurion, they sent me a pre-paid address label, I mailed the defective modem, they found that it was dead and deposited a credit in the amount of the original purchase in my Amazon account, all within a few days. I am quite happy with the service. Just so you know, the reimbursement is through a gift card at Amazon which you can draw down against your purchases; it is not CASH.

Nearly 3 years later, Asurion had my back :)
In Nov of 2017 I bought a $900 35" Ultra wide PC monitor for Gaming and Work.
It was made by a company called AOC/Envision and I bought it through amazon.
The monitor had a 3 year warranty that I was still within but they said no to a defect that they said was only covered for 1 year, even though it wasn't the type of defect that was only covered for 1 year.
LUCKILY, back in 2017 I had purchased an Asurion insurance policy with this monitor.
I told an Asurion agent in a instant messaging chat window on the Asurion website my problem and she sent me postage in an email. I shipped my product and in 5 days from shipping it I received a text telling me that it was beyond repair and I would be getting a FULL REFUND!
Not 2hr later, in an email, there it was, an amazon gift card code for $900
I will not be making any big purchases without an Asurion plan going forward. Happy customer
