The Edimax ES-1008P V2 is an eight-port Fast Ethernet PoE+ switch designed for reliable performance in home, small, and medium-sized network environments. This versatile switch empowers you to connect and power PoE-enabled devices such as wireless access points, network cameras, and IP phones, as well as standard Ethernet devices like computers and printers. Its compact, fan-less design ensures silent operation, making it an ideal solution for any workspace.
Extended Reach and Intelligent Control
A key feature of the ES-1008P V2 is its hardware DIP switch, which allows for manual configuration of advanced functions without complex software. With the flip of a switch, you can activate "Extend" mode to deliver both data and power up to 200 meters (656 feet) at 10Mbps, overcoming the standard 100-meter Ethernet limitation. This makes it perfect for long-distance surveillance camera installations. The DIP switches also enable port-based VLAN isolation to prevent broadcast storms and support for 802.1p QoS to prioritize voice and video traffic for smooth, uninterrupted performance.
Robust Power over Ethernet
This switch is IEEE 802.3af/at PoE compliant and boasts a total power budget of 130W, providing up to 30W per port. It automatically detects connected PoE devices and their power requirements, ensuring efficient power distribution. In the event a non-PoE device is connected, only data will be transmitted, guaranteeing the safety of your hardware.
