Ofo The Rock Company (originally known as OFO The Back Company) were Nigeria's first acid-rock band. Blending Hendrix and Deep Purple with shamanism and a pro-black philosophy, they cut their teeth at Fela Kuti's Afrika Shrine, developing a fearsome live reputation that intimidated every other band in Lagos. No one wanted to follow the guys from OFO, not even Fela himself. Lead by the charismatic Larry Ifedioranma, Ofo The Rock Company considered themselves a musical cult. Their live shows were a heady mix of mind-melting musicianship, mysticism and theatre. In 1973 the band tour Europe and Fonkafrika gathers together the best of those performance. The moments captured range from small intimate gigs in London, where you can hear the conversation amongst the crowd, to an astonishing gig in East Germany where they played before 900,000 people. The undoubted highlight is the extended prog-rock wig out of 'Ayaya,' recorded at the Berlin gig, before an obviously delighted crowd. See if you can pick out the moment where the band were joined on stage by a long-haired hippy who insisted on playing guitar. They didn't realize it at the time but it was Carlos Santana. It was in Europe that the band fell apart, riven in two by Ifedioranma's increasingly autocratic rule. Great shoe (but definitely runs large)!

We love these shoes! Our very active little girl was getting blisters on her toes going barefoot, so we wanted some developmentally safe protection for her feet. Robeez shoes are backed by the American Podiatric Medical Association and fit the guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics. On top of that, these shoes are just a great product! They are easy for caregivers to put on, but difficult for babies to take off; the leather offers great grip and protection (no more blisters!), but are breathable enough to prevent sweaty feet; the top lip of the shoe doesn’t rub her ankle; the materials are quality (no staining/color transfer or weak stitches); and they are absolutely adorable to boot!! The only quibble I have is the innacurate sizing. The 0-6 month size I ordered fits my 10 month old’s feet perfectly. When I was shopping I measured her feet at 4.25-4.5 inches (11-11.5 cm), but ordered down a size based on reviews. I’m very glad I did! That small matter aside, I could not be more pleased with these little shoes!

Robeez girl soft sole shoes are fantastic for new walkers. They’re lightweight, flexible, and fit snugly without slipping off. The soft soles provide just enough grip while allowing natural foot movement, which is important for developing balance and coordination. The cute designs are a bonus, making them easy to pair with any outfit. They’re easy to put on and stay comfortable throughout the day. Highly recommend for little ones just starting to walk!
