Could it be just related to the age of the transformers? Tolerances? Either way, I'm not sure I've come across a comparison where the Block Letter version didn't come out on top.
As a bonus, I've included 15 extra profiles from my US made 6505 so you can have a modern take on the same circuit.
Profiles captured with a range of guitars, dialed in for different sounding cabinet IR's and across all modes and channels on the amplifier.
I would recommend adjusting the dist sens control a little based on your guitar and pickups. Usually for me, around +3 seems to match the response of the amp closest but this will vary for every situation.
