The art museum as we know it today has diverse origins some going back centuries, but the object-centered Museum Course taught by Paul Sachs and others in close affiliation with Harvard’s laboratory-oriented Fogg Art Museum deserves a special place, both for its radical impact and ongoing relevance. As Harvard celebrates 150 years of fine arts education, Paul Sachs’s engaging memoir Tales of an Epoch is being published for the first time, thoughtfully introduced, edited and contextualized by Felipe Pereda, Fernando Zóbel de Ayala Professor of Spanish Art and head of Graduate Studies in Harvard’s Department of History of Art & Architecture.

Recognition of Paul Sachs has faded with time, but his legacy lives. A telling measure of his influence is the cast of students, colleagues and friends populating Tales of an Epoch. Future museum directors and curators enrolled in the course include Chick Austin (Wadsworth Atheneum), Alfred Barr (Museum of Modern Art), Sherman Lee (Cleveland Art Museum), James Rorimer (Metropolitan Museum of Art), Perry Rathbone (Boston Museum of Fine Arts) and John Walker (National Gallery of Art). The future director of the Fogg and a research assistant for Sachs, Agnes Mongan was named Keeper of Drawings at the Fogg in 1937, a title only elevated to Curator in 1947 after the war. Future collectors include Lincoln Kirstein, Henry McIlhenny, Joseph Pulitzer and E.M.M. Warburg. Illustrious colleagues, mentors and protégés include Aby Warburg, Bernard Berenson, John Coolidge, Edward Waldo Forbes, Maurice Wertheim, and Grenville Winthrop.

Tales of an Epoch and a “where did they go” list tracking the careers of Museum Course alumni in the Appendix amplifies the depth and range of Sachs’s influence on museums as we experience them today.
Both scholars and general readers with an interest in the cultural evolution of museums over the past 100 hundred years will find the pairing of Sachs and Pereda both illuminating and thought provoking—not just in retrospect, but in looking ahead.

Tasteless and made in Peru. Won't be buying again because in Peru they use chemicals that have been banned!

I know where the sugar is
Size: 1 PT
I will say these are not only very large but that they are pretty tart. To me they are somewhat like a blue rasberry sucker. They seem pretty fresh. They were not mushy at all, very firm but not hard. They look pretty clean also. I would repurchase since I know where the sugar is and where the muffin recipes are.

Delicious fresh Blueberries at a fraction of the price!
Size: 1 PT
Absolutely delicious, and so much less expensive than at the store!! Beautiful plump Blueberries that taste great! At first I wasn't sure, since they cost so much less than at any store, but I decided to try them just in case they turned out to be good, and to leave a review for others. They came inside a foil-interior brown bag, each with rubber bands to keep them closed (great idea) and with a frozen water bottle to help keep them cool! That was a very nice added bonus.

Tastes Great
Flavor Name: Variety Pack, Size: 12 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)
’ve been really impressed with the Bloom Nutrition Sparkling Energy Drink. It strikes a great balance between effective energy and a clean, refreshing taste. The fact that it contains 180mg of natural caffeine gives a noticeable boost without the jittery feeling or crash that some other energy drinks tend to cause. It feels smooth and steady, which makes it perfect for mornings or a midday pick-me-up. One of the standout features is that it’s completely sugar-free, yet still manages to taste flavorful and crisp. The light carbonation adds a refreshing touch, and the variety of fruit flavors keeps things interesting without being overly sweet or artificial. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating a drink that feels both enjoyable and functional. I also appreciate the added ingredients like prebiotics and plant-based caffeine sources, which make it feel like a more mindful alternative compared to traditional energy drinks. It’s nice knowing you’re getting a bit more than just caffeine. Overall, Bloom has created a great option for anyone looking for clean energy, good flavor, and a healthier approach to staying energized throughout the day. Highly recommend!
