That is how a high application force is developed which effectively avoids the annoying slipping out of the screw, i.e. the so called Cam Out effect. The soft component on the edges provides a comfortable grip and enables the production of a maximum torque.The proven triangle shape corresponds exactly to the ideal turning angle of the hand (120 degrees).
