Omega Constellation C-Shape Automatic 18K Yellow Gold “OM Linen Dial” – Ref. 168.017 / 168.009 (1967)

A striking example of late-1960s Swiss luxury, this Omega Constellation C-Shape Ref. 168.017 showcases the harmonious blend of technical mastery and sculptural design that defined Omega’s golden era. Crafted in solid 18K yellow gold and featuring an exceptionally rare “OM” (Or Massif) linen-textured dial, this piece represents one of the most desirable configurations within the Constellation family.

This particular example is accompanied by its original Omega red Constellation box, original Omega paperwork, and the original Omega chronometer certificate matching the serial number, making it a highly collectible, investment-grade set.

The Dial – Original 18K “OM” Linen Texture

The golden linen-pattern dial — produced in solid 18K gold and signed with the discreet “OM” hallmark — exhibits a warm glow that shifts beautifully with the light. Its texture adds depth and sophistication, showcasing Omega’s refined mid-century craftsmanship.

  • Original Omega plexiglass

  • Gold-applied indices and dauphine hands

  • Original signed Omega crown

  • Excellent preserved printing and natural, even patina

This untouched dial is one of the key highlights of the watch, celebrated for both its rarity and its understated elegance.

The Case – Heavy Solid 18K Gold (35g+)

Designed by Gérald Genta, the iconic C-Shape case captures the modernist lines of the late 1960s.

This example features a heavy solid-gold case weighing over 35 grams, with strong edges and excellent definition.

  • 18K yellow gold

  • Approximately 35 mm diameter

  • Case in overall good and honest condition

  • Distinctive brushed and polished surfaces in original form

The proportions remain balanced and comfortable, offering a refined yet substantial wrist presence.

Movement – Chronometer-Certified Caliber 564

At the heart of the watch beats Omega’s famed Caliber 564, one of the brand’s finest automatic movements from the era.

  • 24-jewel construction

  • Quick-set date

  • Officially certified chronometer

  • Excellent timekeeping performance

Serial 25,325,916 dates this example to circa 1967, aligning perfectly with the characteristics of early C-Shape Constellations.

Strap & Presentation

The watch is fitted with a handmade Belgian leather strap, complementing the linen dial and warm gold tones with understated refinement.

It also includes:

  • Original Omega red Constellation box

  • Original Omega paperwork

  • Original Omega chronometer certificate (matching the serial number)

A complete and highly desirable vintage set.

Missed the Mark *Spoilers*
Format: Kindle
I was surprised by the author’s bio because at times it felt like this book was written by an adolescent imagining what filming a movie would be like. I really enjoyed certain parts of the book, especially the flashbacks to HS, the flirtatious note-writing and the botched Spanish terms of endearment. But the main feeling I had reading it was whiplash, in terms of all the back-and-forth between the MCs. Even at almost 30 years old, they both felt emotionally immature. **Spoilers Ahead** It was odd to me that when they finally confronted their past, it was in terms of the summer after their sophomore year of HS, rather than the big breakup when they were in college. Skipping ahead, the Paris ending felt very abrupt and out of character. I also felt that certain side characters (Troy, Darbie, Emily, etc.) were very two-dimensional and discarded easily where it would’ve been interesting to see their reactions to the MCs’ relationship. I can see where the author laid the groundwork for a good series, it definitely has potential. This book just missed the mark for me.

Fantastic Second Chance Romance
Format: Kindle
The only reason this book wasn’t a 5* was because Amazon doesn’t allow 4.5* and I felt like parts of the rekindling of their romance at the very end were slightly rushed. Aside from that, this book was INCREDIBLE. I fell in love with them as a couple from the beginning. Gemma’s back and forth emotional parkour was a little rough at spots with how quickly she changed from wanting nothing to do with Caitlin to wanting to take her home. BUT I loved the epilogue and the full circle moments of them together and their future. Can’t wait to read another book by this author!
