Named after Joseph Stalin, the IS-2 was the most powerful Soviet tank of the Second World War and one of the most formidable heavy tanks of the entire conflict. Armed with a devastating 122mm main gun capable of destroying any German tank at combat range, the IS-2 was specifically developed to counter the Tiger and Panther and spearhead Soviet breakthrough operations in the final years of the war.
