The VELUX EFL MK08 0022B TWIN VERTICAL SLATE FLASHINGS - 78X140CM is flashing for installing two side-by-side roof windows and two vertical elements into slate up to 8mm thick and is essential for guaranteeing that your roof window is weather tight no matter the conditions, preventing rainwater from coming through your window. It fits perfectly underneath your roofing material and aims to direct water into a built-in guttering system which then sends water to drain down the side of your window.
It comes in a grey aluminium as standard and is completely maintenance free so you can be ensured once you’ve installed it that your job is done. This particular kit is for roofs with pitches of between 15 degrees and 55 degrees and is not compatible with interlocking slate or thatch roofs. The VELUX EFL 0022B twin slate flashing is suitable for slates up to 8mm thick and suitable for vertical combinations only. This flashing is used for installing two VELUX roof windows and two VELUX vertical elements side-by-side with an 18mm gap.

VELUX flashings integrate with the roof covering to provide a weather-tight finish around the window. They are compatible with any slate (up to 8mm thick), but not interlocking. Window flashings are designed to sit under the roofing materials, and then the water from the roof is collect in the built-in guttering system. The gutter overlaps a second section of the flashing to help the water flow smoothy down the side of the window. The flashing apron moulds to the roof material profile to allow the water to drain away.

I really, really wanted to like this - and, in theory, I really, really should have! The instructions were easy to follow and assembly took about five minutes. The assembled screen is lightweight and easy to move. It was a great size and exactly what I was looking for except....I wasn't sent the correct pieces. Instead of receiving 4 elbow pieces and 4 feet, I received 2 elbow pieces and 8 feet - meaning that the bottom part of the fabric just hangs there and, overall, the divider is extremely unstable because there is no horizontal support on the bottom. Thankfully, there are Velcro tabs on the side of the fabric so I can use it if I don't plan to move it even 1 cm, but otherwise, what I received is not usable for what I needed it for. Additionally, the fabric is made of polyester and catches animal hair very easily. Had I received the correct pieces, this would be a good buy for the money. Unfortunately, overall, I'm disappointed.
