In the kingdom of Goldenpeak, two princesses venture to the edge of the forbidden forest, one becoming lost forever to its cursed inhabitants. Princess Ayla, now grown, has spent most of her youth as an only child after the loss of her sister, the princess Thiea.

Mychael is a knight-in-training his father being a commander of the King's forces. Handsome and kind, his good-hearted, honorable nature-and curiosity-brings him to the attention of Ayla, and young love begins to bloom as the looming threat of the forest begins to creep onto the gates of the kingdom. Mychael, the ever-faithful knight, swears to protect and aid Ayla and his kingdom through the war to come.

Spurred to action by the increasing danger,  Ayla embarks on a journey to discover the hidden truth behind the growing tensions between her kingdom and the forest-and the truth to her and her sister's lineage.

Maleficium is a high fantasy novel inspired by classic medieval literature such as Le Morte D'Arthur and Arthurian romances, as well as the cautionary tales of the Brothers Grimm and is set in the fictitious kingdom of Goldenpeak, based heavily upon medieval Scandinavia and Eastern Europe during the filteenth and sixteenth centuries. Historically, this time and region in our own world saw religious persecution and immense superstitions written in the Malleus Maleficarum rip Europe apart, of which this tale also cautions. Maleficium expresses major themes of reigious freedoms and the effects of suppressing those freedoms.

Fits good just needs a light ironing.
Good fit with a casual look. These are a nice fit with an almost slim fit width at the bottom. I am a short guy and the 34x28 size fit me great. As I obviously don't have a trim waistline, I like that the bottom of these are narrower than a more dressier pant. The waist of my pants tend to move up and down approx. an inch to inch and a half and slacks tend to get under the heel of the less clunky modern dress casual shoe. Comparison below. Amazon Essentials 34x28 were a lot tighter (like a 32)in the waist and the length seemed loo long.

Functional pants, safe bed, accurate color.
Size: 34W x 32L, Color: Dark Olive, Size: 34W x 32L, Color: Dark Olive
I think these pants are very functional, the color is very accurate, the fit is good, I think it is a very safe choice for someone looking for safe pick. I have not tried washing them so i am not sure about wrinkle resistance, I may update my review later. But out of the box, they were not wrinkled. Thickness is decent, not too thick or thin. Since I got it for some discount, the value was good. The image is in yellow lighting.

You get what you pay for.
I have 4 pairs of these pants. Originally, I gave them a five star review because the fit was perfect, they are comfortable, and looked nice. I have worn them several times and they seemed to be well made. However, I've changed my rating to three stars. I've washed 3 of the 4 pairs I bought. The black pair came out o.k.. The olive and grey pairs are not color fast. The olive pair faded considerably in the wash and has a definite brown tinge to it in the thighs and knees. The grey pair did not fade as much, but you can also see that brown tinge in the thighs and knees. I can still wear them as work pants, but I was disappointed. I have also noticed that the inside of the front pockets have excessive wear. The bottom line is that these pants do not cost much, but will probably not last long. Are they worth $30? Personally, I'd rather pay more and get better quality. I had put several other Goodthreads items on my wishlist, but now I'm rethinking that.
