The Industrial Athletic SLAM BALL PRO is our latest design evolution, thicker skin, stronger valve, aggressive surface, and always better in black. Designed specifically for workouts that will require a ball to be dropped, thrown and/or slammed. Regular medicine balls are not designed to be used for these activities but it's all about the right tool for the job. Industrial Athletic Slam Balls are constructed with an ultra-durable, heavy-duty rubber shell and filled with fine black sand for fluid movement and instability. A rough-textured surface allows for a high-quality grip even when wet and the black colour is just for the cool factor. Each slam ball comes equipped with an air valve making it possible to adjust the air capacity and overall firmness, and also acts as a safety feature to assist in dampening the blow.
Industrial Athletic Slam Balls should be the weapon of choice for any of your explosive workouts that involve the throwing, dropping, or slamming of an object to the ground or wall etc. As the technology has grown and we have utilised it for creating larger and larger options of slam balls, we are now seeing these as a very popular alternative to Atlas stones. Safely go for a max lift - without the fear of splitting a toe!
BEST PRACTICE GUIDE
Two things that must be considered for by an owner of Industrial Athletic Slam Balls:
- Slam balls should be topped up with air regularly. If they are not, then the pressure on the valve (weak spot) is immense, and can cause failure.
- The sand inside the slam Balls does settle and become hard like a rock. Slamming a compacted and/or cold ball on the ground can cause a rupture. Slam balls always need to be warmed up before use. This is best achieved by rolling the ball on the ground until the sand feels fluid again, and the ball feels warm.
WARRANTY
We have a 6-month warranty on our slam balls. Please ensure you service them as above, warm them up, and look after them.
