The combination of Curcumin C3 Complex®+ black pepper has been shown to increase blood levels of free curcumin (the active curcuminoid). Other competitors rely on bioavailability studies that measure curcumin metabolites (the glucuronide and sulfated metabolites of curcumin). There is no published data on the efficacy of these minor curcuminoid metabolites, which are pharmacologically inactive.*
