Infinity is an intriguing topic, with connections to religion, philosophy, metaphysics, logic, and physics as well as mathematics. Its history goes back to ancient times, with especially important contributions from Euclid, Aristotle, Eudoxus, and Archimedes. The infinitely large (infinite) is intimately related to the infinitely small (infinitesimal). Cosmologists consider sweeping questions about whether space and time are infinite. Philosophers and mathematicians ranging from Zeno to Russell have posed numerous paradoxes about infinity and infinitesimals. Many vital areas of mathematics rest upon some version of infinity. The most obvious, and the first context in which major new techniques depended on formulating infinite processes, is calculus. But there are many others, for example Fourier analysis and fractals. In this Very Short Introduction, Ian Stewart discusses infinity in mathematics while also drawing in the various other aspects of infinity and explaining some of the major problems and insights arising from this concept. He argues that working with infinity is not just an abstract, intellectual exercise but that it is instead a concept with important practical everyday applications, and considers how mathematicians use infinity and infinitesimals to answer questions or supply techniques that do not appear to involve the infinite.Binding Type: Paperback

Nice big tire toy
Size: Large 10", Style: Rubber Dog Toy
Our dog has had a tire toy about the same size as this one for 2 years, but it's finally been worn down from his love and zest for it along with weather. When I saw this one, I got excited! Great size for our 80lb 3yo pittie and pretty tough too, although, it's beginning to show signs of wear in only 3 weeks of him playing with it. It's not nearly as rugged as his old rubber tire. We'll have to see how long it actually lasts before I say the price was worth it or not.

Great dog toy for large breeds!
Size: Large 10", Style: Rubber Dog Toy, Size: Large 10", Style: Rubber Dog Toy
My dog Judge is a 110-pound German Shepherd that loves this tire! It is not the traditional ball that dogs like to play with, but it is so much safer since larger breeds might choke on a ball, as it’s easier to swallow! Judge doesn't go anywhere without his tire! From an owner's standpoint, it’s great also since it’s easy to throw and roll as well as last longer than most toys since it’s made of thick rubber! Best toy for the money I have found by far! Judge has the size large 10”!

Durable toy
Size: Medium 8", Style: Rubber Dog Toy
This is way too big for my dog. I thought it would be smaller when I ordered it.
