The backstay flicker is a glass fibre rod fitted to the head box of a Seldén mast section C080 - C139. The bolts slides in to the groove of the head box and are tightened with nyloc nuts. Only to be used on fractional rigs with swept spreaders.
When easing the backstay, the flicker lifts it up to allow for free passage of a full roach mainsail when tacking and gybing. For best function we recommend the use of a light weight backstay in Dyneema core.
The backstay flicker comes complete with nuts and bolts and a ø3 mm Dyneema core for a thimble fitted over the backstay.
