Organized by two art historians and art critics based in higher-education institutions, Pyun and Saleeby-Mulligan have addressed socio-political issues encoded in corporal representation in their scholarly essays and pedagogical arenas. Aiming for more artistic and creative approaches to the painful issues surrounding domestic violence in a private environment and its ramifications in a public milieu, this exhibition draws attention to a lesser-known realm of disabled bodies caused by domestic violence in the works of Belinda Mason, Simone Kestelman, Debbie Han, aleXsandro Palombo, and Cat Del Buono.
