Building on the long-established success of Ethan Mordden's Opera Anecdotes, The New Book Of Opera Anecdotes continues where the original left off, bringing into view the new corps of major singers that arose after the first book's publication in 1985 -- artists such as Renee Fleming, Roberto Alagna, Deborah Voigt, Jonas Kaufmann, Kathleen Battle, and Jane Eaglen (who tested her family with Turandot's three riddles and got a very original answer). There are also fresh adventures with opera's fabled great -- Rossini, Wagner, Toscanini (whose temper tantrums are always good for a story), Franco Corelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Leontyne Price (who, when the Met's Rudolf Bing offered her the voice-killing role of Abigaille in Verdi's Nabucco, said, "Man, are you crazy?"). Almost all the stories in The New Book Of Opera Anecdotes are completely new, whether from the present or the past, taking in many historical developments, from the rise of the conductor to the appearance of the gymmed-up "bari-hunk" who refuses to play any role in which he can't appear shirtless. While most of Mordden's anecdotes are humorous, some are emotionally touching, such as one recounting a Met production of Mozart's The Marriage Of Figaro in which Renee Fleming sang alongside her own six-year-old daughter. Other tales are suspenseful, as when Tito Gobbi shows off his ability to make anyone turn around simply by staring at his or her back. He tries it on Nazi monster Joseph Goebbels, who does turn around, and then starts to move toward Gobbi, seething with rage, step by step... Mordden recounts these stories in his own unique voice, amplifying events for reading pleasure and adding in background material so the opera newcomer can play on the same field as the aficionado. Witty, dramatoic, and at times a little shocking, The New Book Of Opera Anecdotes will be a welcome addition to any opera fan's library.Binding Type: Paperback

Good cooler pack
Color: Clear Blue 4 PK, Size: 4 Pack
I have used this item a few times now and it keep cool for a good few hours. It is thin enough to fit into lunch boxes and keeps the food cold. Very easy to clean. It feels sturdy and won't crack if you drop it.

Great prize for a pack of four ice packs! Love the color
Super set of ice packs, these come in a four piece set and I got purple ones because I wanted to match the lunchbox. I got them to go in. They are a nice size, thick enough that you can put several in your icebox lunch pack or Lay them together if you need a longer time for being cooled. They fit in the freezer real well because they are skinny. They work just fine in my lunchbox and I can lay two of them on the side of my bento box packs inside and one on the bottom and one on the top. Great price for four. They’re very heavy duty and have a purple gel inside. I give them an A+

Perfect for packed lunches
Color: Multi (4 Pack), Size: 4 Count (Pack of 1)
I use these in both my lunch bag for work and my daughter’s lunchbox for daycare. I like the xl slim packs because they fit perfectly in a rectangular lunchbox. They keep food cold throughout the whole day, without being bulky and taking up too much room.

Great all-around golf ball—soft feel, good distance, and super reliable
Color: Green, Size: One Dozen
Summary:
The Callaway Supersoft has become my go-to golf ball. It performs well off the tee and around the greens, and I’ve had zero durability issues.
How I use it:
Regular play on different course types (dry courses out west and more lush courses in the southeast).
Pros:
Soft feel that seems to help with both distance and short game
Consistent, reliable performance
Durable—never had one fall apart
Color options are great (green worked well in dry conditions, orange better in thicker grass)
Cons:
Performance improvements might be subtle depending on your game (could be partially feel/confidence)
What I wish I knew:
The color actually matters more than you’d think depending on course conditions—visibility can make a big difference. Green is easier to see in more arid environments - think Colorado or Arizona, while orange is more preferred for lush environments like Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head. Fellow golfers will call you "old man" if you use orange for higher visibility.
Verdict:
A dependable, high-value golf ball that works well for a wide range of players. I keep coming back to these—and the only reason I lose them is my own game, not the ball.

Perfect Golf Balls for My Son’s First Season Playing Golf
Color: White, Size: One Dozen
I bought the Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls for my son’s birthday after he recently started getting into golf, and they were a perfect choice. He was excited to try a well-known golf brand, and these balls have really helped build his confidence on the course.
The balls feel soft off the clubface and seem very forgiving for a beginner. My son noticed better distance and straighter shots compared to some cheaper practice balls he had been using. He also likes how easy they are to spot on the course and how durable they’ve been through multiple rounds.
As someone newer to golf, he appreciated that these balls perform well without being overly expensive. They make a great gift for beginners or casual golfers who want quality equipment while learning the game. Definitely a solid purchase and a birthday gift he genuinely enjoyed.
