This piece has been untouched since sitting for years in the morning room/small dining room at Brudenell House (see provenance below and the old photo of it in place), so it could do with a wipe-over as dusty and maybe remove or replace the old paper from the inside (it comes away very easily). I'm happy to do this for you and to give it a wax polish before delivery, just let me know.

When it was at Brudenell House the top section had 2 small downlights inside of the top, which have since been removed, so there are just a couple of very small screw holes out of sight there (just mentioned for transparency).

Some slight wear marks where the doors open (see photos) but other than that the condition is very good indeed for the age.

It breaks down into 5 sections for easier moving.

(Provenance:
Brudenell House is a large, beautiful Grade II listed country house and was originally built in the sixteenth century and then added to in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
Until 1962 it was the church rectory in Quainton. It was then bought by my oldest friend Julian's grandmother (Helena Wright, pioneer of birth control and family planning) and then passed down to her son, Beric, in 1982, when I first met Julian in our early teens. 
I lived down the road, so I spent many hours and days at Brudenell House.
After Beric passed away in 2008, the family finally sold Brudenell House in 2011 in order to downsize.
This piece has been in dry storage since then.)
