This very rare, brass, vintage amulet depicts a Buddhist monk meditating amongst beautiful branches.

On the other side the Lord Buddha sitting in deep meditation in the Bhumisparsha Mudra.

Lord Buddha sits in the Bhumisparsha Mudra which means 'touching the earth' or earth witness Mudra.

In this posture, Siddhartha Gautama, defeated Mara while meditating under the Bodhi tree and became enlightened.

His right hand touching the ground with all five fingers to call earth as a witness of overcoming fears, desires and realizing the ultimate truth.

It will looks amazing on a necklace around your neck either way it's facing.

I don't have the exact year it was made, but this design is from around the late 60's to mid 70's.
