Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Lady Automatic – Stainless Steel | Reference 8638ST

A Rare and Historic Lady Royal Oak from the 1970s

This vintage Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Lady Automatic, Reference 8638ST, represents the very first Royal Oak designed specifically for women. Introduced in 1976, the 8638 carried forward the revolutionary design language of the 5402 “Jumbo” of 1972, reinterpreted in a refined 29 mm case suited for a female clientele.

Crafted entirely in stainless steel, the case remains exceptionally sharp, with crisp bevels and the iconic octagonal bezel featuring exposed screws. The integrated bracelet, also in steel, is long and accommodates a wrist size of approximately 17–17.5 cm—rare for this reference and highly desirable for collectors.

Powered by the Self-Winding Calibre 2062

At its heart is the Audemars Piguet Calibre 2062, a compact yet robust self-winding movement based on a LeCoultre ébauche, celebrated for its slim architecture and reliability. This movement has benefited from multiple services over the years, supported by a wealth of accompanying documentation.

Brown Tropical Dial – Even and Beautifully Aged

The original dial has aged into a completely even tropical brown tone, lending the watch a warmth and individuality that can only develop over decades. Applied tritium hour markers and hands remain intact, adding depth and vintage character.

Good Basic Chair with a Few Drawbacks
Color: Black
I bought this Amazon Basics office task chair for my boyfriend who works from home. Overall, it’s a decent, simple chair that gets the job done for everyday use, especially if you just need something functional and affordable. However, there are a couple of downsides. The recline doesn’t go back as much as he would like, so it’s not ideal if you prefer to lean back and relax between tasks. Also, after about a month of use, the wheels don’t glide as smoothly as they did at first, which can be a bit frustrating when rolling across the floor. Overall, it’s a solid basic chair for light use, but if you want something with a deeper recline or super smooth mobility long-term, you might want to consider other options. Still a reasonable purchase depending on your needs.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid
Color: Black
I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well! The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something! The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!

Good enough
Color: Black
Comfortable chair. Easy to put together. Allen nuts aren't cut perfectly so sometimes hard to get the wrench in there. My biggest complaint, and I didn't even realize this until I sat down in it, the arm rests are not adjustable and they are a little short for my liking.

I love it!
Color: Black
This chair is so comfy! I also love that it goes up super high (as a tall man it's nice to have the kicking my feet sensation... Lol). It's wider than I imagined and it the first chair with arms that I can fit in as an almost 500 pound dude. The lumbar support is nice and also adjustable, too. The wheels are high quality and move you fast. It was pretty easy to put together, but deff get help from someone to hold pieces in place

Sturdy chair
Color: Black
Sturdy. And comfortable. The box had a hole kicked in bottom ,had been retaped many times abd yet was ripped on multiple areas. Coming from Asia does that.
