ESU LokProgrammer – The Ultimate Tool for Your ESU Decoders

Want to enjoy the authentic sound spectrum of your favourite locomotive, or capture the distinctive sound of a loco in the yard and play it back on your model railway? With the ESU LokProgrammer, it couldn’t be easier.

All you need is a Windows PC (Windows 8.1 or newer) with a sound card. Simply record the original sound of your locomotive and edit it at home on your computer. Many modellers have already achieved impressive results this way. But even if you’re not ready to create your own sound projects, the LokProgrammer is still an invaluable tool – it’s the easiest way to set up and customise your ESU decoders. Thanks to its intuitive graphical interface, no programming knowledge is required. A few clicks are all it takes.

What the LokProgrammer Can Do

Sound

  • Replace the sound data on any LokSound decoder as often as you like.

  • Choose from over 200 professionally recorded sounds available for download.

  • Edit specific elements of a sound project – for example, swap out a horn or whistle for another you prefer.

  • Import your own audio in Windows *.wav format – even voices or music.

  • Assign sounds to different functions or events, with additional sounds triggered via function buttons.

Programming

  • Easily set all digital parameters of your LokSound decoder, including address, acceleration/deceleration, maximum speed, braking behaviour, light brightness, and more – no need to manually input CVs.

  • Configure function mapping, allocate special effects to outputs, and fine-tune settings such as back-EMF or speed tables.

  • Compatible with ESU’s full decoder range (LokSound, LokPilot, DCC, Multiprotocol, and mfx).

Simple Connection

The LokProgrammer is a compact programming interface that connects between your PC and a programming track. It comes with a USB adapter cable (compatible up to Windows 11) and a 500 mA power supply. For larger scale applications (e.g. Gauge 1), you can use a standard model railway transformer instead.

User-Friendly Software

The included LokProgrammer software runs on all modern Windows systems (Windows 8.1 and above). Once your ESU-equipped locomotive is placed on the connected programming track, the software will automatically detect the decoder, allowing you to read, edit, or reprogramme it straight away.

Flexibility & Compatibility

The LokProgrammer isn’t just for retail ESU decoders – many leading model railway manufacturers fit ESU decoders as standard in their locomotives. With the LokProgrammer, you can adjust these factory settings to suit your layout and preferences.

Firmware Updates

Most ESU decoders are firmware-upgradeable. With the LokProgrammer and the latest software version, you can update your decoder to the newest features and improvements quickly and conveniently. Updates are applied automatically whenever new sound or data is written to the decoder.

Always Up to Date

ESU continuously refines and improves the LokProgrammer software. The latest version can always be downloaded from their website, or installed automatically via the built-in online update function.

Angels and the Fallen — Breathtaking Start
Format: Kindle
This book was EVERYTHING I expected it to be and more. Leave to R.L. Caulder and M. Sinclair to give us yet another amazing book! Kieran and her guys hooked me from the very beginning and did not let go. Found family is one of my favorite tropes and it was done so well in this book. Couple that along with an FMC trying to find her place in the world and I was practically drooling over this book. The world building, the conflict, the wyverin sidekick — it all was done so well that it felt fresh and real. Each love interest felt real and unique in their own ways. I felt connected to each one and like they were truly different people. I love that so much in a book and these two authors never miss with their love interests. Multi POV, Reverse harem, who did this to you, and a magical world highlighting the angels and the fallen. This book has everything and it does it so well. Big thank you to R.L. Caulder and M. Sinclair for the arc copy! I cannot wait for book 2!

A new take 🤔
Format: Kindle
I’m not going to go into what this book is about — by now you e already read the synopsis and have an idea — but I will give a couple of insights. Definitely a different take on angels and their fall; I like it. This is an interesting start to a new series - YES, this does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. I’m eager for the next book (and hopefully the last in this series — sometimes the author(s) will switch it up depending on how the story flows for them) in this series. I’m hoping that a certain male character redeems himself because he’s a dick that will make the meaning of mixed signals jealous lol. You ever watch that old movie — I think it’s call Mommy Dearest? — yea, let’s switch that up to daddy. That man would make a perfect husband to mommy dearest. I recommend this book because while these authors are well known for their cliffhangers, they are also well known for putting out good stories.

Liked it
Format: Kindle
I liked the worlds and the characters. The prophesy is confusing in that I would think, since all worlds ore on a path to destruction, the angels would want their world to be saved. I am sure there is more evil that will be revealed as the series proceeds. I dislike a prolonged “poor little me” trope and the main character has moved past that, thankfully, and began to show a fierce attitude as the novel progressed. The last portion of the novel had some great action. It’s worth reading, just be patient with a slow start.

Fallen Angels, fae, vampires, oh my!
Format: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 | Spice: 2 (but a good slow-burn) • Main Characters: Huntyr and Wolf • I couldn’t wait to read this book; there was so much hype about it! And there was no doubt why. I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. This book is mainly plot driven more than friction driven but it’s easy to follow along with. The characters are fun, easily understood. The main setting is at an academy where both the main characters are going through trials and building strength for the final test, The Transcendent. There are fantastic side characters as well. I loved the camaraderie between Huntyr and her friends. But we don’t like Lanson. 😆 We do have some plot twists that come into play throughout the book. Secrets and betrayal to be seen. I did adore Wolf and Huntyr’s relationship. It was a classic slow burn trope. They didn’t hit it off fast, but in time their feelings grew. I loved their banter, so sexy. Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance. Side note: book ends on a angsty cliffhanger! • Emily, thank you for writing this awesome novel and I cannot wait to devour Book 2, Blood So Brutal! 😍 • Happy reading, my lovelies! xo

“My heart bows to you and you only, Huntress.”
Format: Kindle
3.5 🌟 This book popped up in my KU recommended reading suggestions and the synopsis sounded like what I was in the mood for. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about it and ended up really liking it. I love when this happens. The main characters are likeable and I easily found myself rooting for them. There is a mystery element to each of their backstories that I enjoyed watching unfold and can't wait to get more of. Wolf, in particular, has me fixated. Love him. I found this to be an entertaining, addictive read with a plot that moves along at a good pace. It reads so easily I found myself very reluctant to put it down. Lots of twists and turns and the angst is there. A good set up for the next book to come, for sure. My issues with this book....the dialogue feels a bit juvenile at times and there is a repetitive over use of a particular word phrasing that I found myself giving the ole eye-roll to. There are, without a doubt, some pretty cliche moments that gave me a bit of the cringe. I think this could've certainly 100% benefited from more depth regarding the world building. Perhaps the world building was sacrificed to keep the pacing quick? Just a guess. Also, the lack of consistency of character for the FMC was really evident and so she feels quite illogical at times. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read that hit the spot well enough for me. That ending certainly has me impatiently pining for book 2!
