Set at the centre of this ring is a cluster of sort after rose cut diamonds. Cut by hand they have a wonderful and unique sparkle when worn that is like no other diamond shape. The diamonds are set into silver to bring out the bright white sparkle with the ring being made form a warmer 15 carat yellow gold.
As with many antique jewels there is additional beautiful design work. Each shoulder has been created with flowing forms. This works beautifully with the larger cluster above. There is so much detail to there shoulders. Looking underneath the cluster we have an open space which may point to this being a sentimental ring which would have had a locket compartment once upon a time.
The setting is rich a buttery in tone due to the use of 15 carat gold. The warmth of the gold contrasting against the crisp diamond cluster centre. Dating to over 150 years this is a darling and historical item of jewellery. Lustrous and decant this would have be been a ring worn by a lady of high status in the Victorian era.
