German WWII Matched 98K Bayonet by Hörster***STILL AVAILABLE***German WWII Matched 98K Bayonet by Hrster This is a fairly early bayonet. It is totally matched and dated 1940. This has the ribbed bakelite handles which are in fine shape, and someone may have used it as a hammer at one point, as there are some dings, so please look closely. The bluing on the hilt is 98% intact. The scabbard has lost its original finish, but the steel has toned to a nice gray color. The blades back strap is dated 40. This bayonet
German WWII Matched 98K Bayonet by Hörster-This is a fairly early bayonet. It is totally matched and dated 1940. This has the ribbed bakelite handles which are in fine shape, and someone may have used it as a hammer at one point, as there are some dings, so please look closely. The bluing on the hilt is 98% intact. The scabbard has lost its original finish, but the steel has toned to a nice gray color. The blade’s back strap is dated 40. This bayonet has waffenamts all over the place! The bluing on the blade is good and is approx. 85% in place. You can see a very early E&F Hörster name under the crossguard on the reverse of the blade. The obverse shows the serial number 4199 under the crossguard, which can also be seen on the throat of the scabbard. This comes complete with a high-quality black leather frog that is also in very good condition. This has a complete RBNr on the reverse. Handsome example!
