Classic OTA-based feedback type compressor pedals (i.e. the MXR Dyna Comp and all its clones and variations - Ross, Boss CS-2, Keeley, Wampler Ego Compressor, Barber Tone Press and countless others) are classics for a reason.  Despite all the technically superior compressors available today, the 'original' design has a dynamic, organic nature that many renowned guitarists love and practically can't live without.  It's like an instrument in itself.  You've heard it everywhere from the Nashville sound to the heaviest of metal.

But time moves on and by today's standards a top-notch stompbox compressor is expected to have more than two or three controls.  Even the modified Dyna Comp/Ross/CS-2 boutique pedals usually don't have more than a mislabeled "attack" control (that's actually a release) and perhaps a blend feature.  They also tend to be noticeably "effecty" - subtle is something the Dyna Comp/Ross clones don't do too well.  Some designs address this by using optical circuits, which are more transparent, but they usually fall short on all-out "squash" and sustain.  Modern, full-featured studio compressors usually feature independent attack, release, threshold, ratio and level controls... but they also tend to sound disappointingly flat and sterile when you plug a guitar or bass into them (hint: they were never designed to be instrument compressors).  Why can't you just have it all?  Why doesn't someone make a compressor for guitar and bass that has all the standard features of a studio compressor, can give you a transparent sustain boost while not sounding over-the-top, but can still react, squash and sustain just like a classic stompbox compressor when you want it to?

Well, meet the AXiom Classic Compressor CC-1.  It's a dual OTA-based feedback type compressor pedal that was developed specifically to bridge the gap between the organic response of the classic stompbox compressors and the precision and features of a studio compressor.  It reacts to your playing just like the best Dyna Comp/Ross/CS-2 pedals did, but has extended control ranges and independent true ATTACK, RELEASE, RATIO/BLEND, SENSITIVITY (threshold), INPUT, TONE and GAIN controls.  You can go from mild, transparent optical-like compression (with your tone and pick attack completely preserved) to all-out squash and sustain beyond what even the best of the classics could produce (thanks to its dual parallel compression engines).  It has an INPUT control that allows you to tailor the response to any pickup from low-output single coils to the hottest active humbuckers, a TONE control tuned to enhance or reduce pick attack and "air", a GAIN stage with enough output to push your amp or other pedals, and it has none of the "pumping" effect that feedback type compressors are prone to when they have their attack set high (which is why the attack is often set permanently fast internally in these type of compressors).

Furthermore, the ratio control is implemented through blending in and out the dry signal (known as 'parallel compression'), so if you're comfortable with compressors that have a blend feature the feel of the CC-1's RATIO/BLEND control will be familiar to you.  Classic compression at modern standards.

  • Classic 100% analog OTA-based compression at modern performance standards
  • Full-range true Attack, Release, Ratio/Blend and Sensitivity (threshold) controls, optimized for guitar and bass
  • Powerful dual-OTA dynamics control - from transparent sustain to insane squash and compression
  • Matching color LED indicator so you can see which pedal is on even on a dark stage
  • Individually handmade
  • True bypass

Fresh, Clean Air — Excellent Quality Cabin Filter!
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
This premium HEPA‑rated filter does an outstanding job of keeping dust, pollen, and tiny airborne particles out of the cabin — much better than standard cabin filters. It’s designed and tested to meet true HEPA filtration standards, effectively capturing up to 99.97 % of particles down to 0.3 microns in size, so the air inside the car feels noticeably cleaner and fresher. Installation was straightforward and fit exactly in place in my vehicle with no modifications needed. The high‑quality filter media feels dense and well‑constructed, with built‑in structural support to help it hold its shape throughout its service life.

Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
Great filter and excellent Value! And, it’s a Bosch !!! Description and sizing were exactly as advertised. DIY install was easy and it fit my 2019 Highlander perfectly ! Filter is HEPA and well made and is a good thickness, so much better than the flimsy one the car dealership installed. Impressive ! Highly recommend!

A Lungful of Freedom
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
Dateline: The Passenger-Side Footwell of a Toyota Venza, Sunday Night. We spend our lives in sealed metal boxes, hurtling through a thick, invisible soup of our own collective filth. A foul cocktail of exhaust fumes, road dust, tire particles, and whatever strange, pollen-based miasma the world decides to throw at us on any given day. To breathe that poison in, unfiltered, is an act of slow, unwitting suicide. You need a line of defense. A gatekeeper for your own lungs. Enter the Bosch 6055C HEPA Cabin Air Filter. It is not a glamorous part. It is not a performance upgrade that adds horsepower or prestige. It is a simple, pleated rectangle of paper and charcoal, a humble guardian destined to live out its days in a dark plastic cave behind your glovebox. But its mission is a noble one. The replacement process is a moment of pure, unadulterated, five-minute victory over the dealership's service department. You pop open the glovebox, you unclip the old filter tray, and you pull out the old soldier. And what you find is a horror show. A grey, matted testament to the unseen war it has been fighting on your behalf, choked with leaves, dirt, and the ghosts of a thousand diesel trucks. It is the face of the enemy. You unwrap the new Bosch filter. It feels solid, well-made. The pleats are clean and numerous. I laid it side-by-side with the outgoing Denso filter—a brand that supplies the automakers themselves—and I could find no meaningful difference. The quality was equal. The construction, robust. This was no flimsy, cut-rate pretender. This was a serious piece of hardware from a serious company. You slide the clean, white Bosch into the tray, snap it back into its dark little home, and close the glovebox. The deed is done. You have performed a life-saving transplant on your vehicle's respiratory system in less time than it takes to listen to a single pop song. And the value… the value is the sweet, sweet punchline. For a fraction of what a dealership would charge you for the same simple service, you have installed a top-tier, HEPA-grade filter from one of the most respected names in the business. You have guaranteed yourself a clean, breathable bubble of personal space as you navigate the toxic jungle of the modern roadway. This is not just a filter; it's a small, affordable act of rebellion. It’s a declaration that you, and you alone, are the master of the air you breathe. It is a simple, effective, and profoundly satisfying piece of gear. Highly recommended.

Great Upgrade to your Cabin Filter. Fits 2018 Subaru Outback
Size: 9.7" x 9.3" x 1.8"
This is a great filter upgrade to your cabin filter. This is better than the Subi standard part. Fits my Subaru outback. NOTE: Subi marks their filter with an 'up' arrow; however, this filter is marked with a 'airflow' direction. Direction of air flow is toward the blower motor so it will point downward when you install it.
