This rack‑mount monitoring and control panel is designed for large‑scale ATEM Constellation IP environments where hands‑on operation and local confidence monitoring are essential. It combines the functionality of a professional SMPTE 2110 monitoring converter with an expanded front‑panel control surface, making it ideal for multi‑M/E productions that require fast access to sources during setup, rehearsals and engineering workflows.
The unit converts SMPTE 2110 IP video directly to 12G‑SDI and HDMI, allowing connection to broadcast monitors without additional converters. Dual 10G Ethernet connections provide full SMPTE 2022‑7 seamless protection switching, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring even if one network path fails. A dedicated NMOS control port allows clean integration into IP routing systems, enabling operators to subscribe to and manage IP sources efficiently within complex broadcast infrastructures.
The front panel mirrors the layout of larger ATEM Constellation SDI models and provides a wide array of premium broadcast‑grade buttons. With an expanded control surface, operators can access a greater number of sources directly from the rack, which is particularly valuable in 4 M/E productions with many inputs. A built‑in LCD screen offers real‑time video preview, audio meters and system status information, giving immediate visual feedback without relying on external monitoring systems.
For production communication, the panel includes a five‑pin broadcast headset connector on the front, enabling direct talkback integration. This supports efficient coordination between technical staff, directors and camera operators during live events. The hardware is engineered for continuous operation in professional racks, featuring front‑to‑rear airflow and dual redundant AC power supplies to meet broadcast reliability requirements.
This solution is particularly well suited to large studios, OB trucks and control rooms using ATEM Constellation IP switchers. It restores the tactile control and monitoring capabilities traditionally found on SDI‑based systems, while fully embracing modern IP workflows and redundancy standards.
