De maas van 6 cm zorg er voor dat eten niet wordt vertraagd maar voorkomt ook dat het hooi niet te gemakkelijk uit het hooinet valt. Hiermee voorkom je dat paarden grote hoeveelheden van de grond gaan eten en daardoor meer zand kunnen opnemen, of het hooi door de stal lopen. Met een capaciteit voor 6 kg is dit net zeer geschikt voor grote pony's, maar is ook fijn te gebruiken bij paarden. Of voor meerdere voerstations in een natuurlijke groepshuisvesting.
