De 1T-VS-658 Video Scaler is een up/cross converter met HDMI output. Volledig schaalbare video inputs zijn onder meer HDMI, DVI (via de HDMI connector), analoge RGB via een HD-15, analoge YPbPr of 480i/576i YUV component via drie RCA, YC en composiet video. Het verwerkt I/O resoluties tot 1080p en WUXGA. Zowel digitale als analoge audiobewerking wordt ondersteund en audio vertragingen tot 150ms kunnen worden ingevoerd om lipsynchronisatie te garanderen. Vijf analoge stereo en een SPDIF coaxiale digitale audio input kunnen worden geselecteerd voor embedding op de HDMI output. Er is ook een afzonderlijke coaxiale digitale audio output beschikbaar.
Geavanceerde functies, zoals 3D Motion Adaptive De-Interlacing, 3D Noise Reduction en 8-bit triple ADC/PLL-technologie, zorgen voor een signaalconversie van uiterst hoge kwaliteit. De HDMI I/O is compatibel met HDCP. Een OSD (On Screen Display) menu maakt de 1T-VS-658 eenvoudig in te stellen. Bediening gebeurt via joystick en knoppen op het voorpaneel, infraroodafstandsbediening of RS-232-interface.
