De volwassen hoogte is zo'n 2 meter. Zorg voor een zonnig plekje in de tuin of een doorlatende bodem.

Bloemen en bessen bio Gojibes struik Lycium barbarum

De bloemen zijn purperlila van kleur. De bloeitijd loopt van ca. mei tot en met september. De bladeren zijn grijsgroen. Na de bloeiperiode komen er bessen aan deze Lycium Barbarum struik, eerst groen van kleur, daarna oranjerood. Deze 'superfood' bessen zitten vol met vitaminen, caroteen, aminozuren en polysachariden. Ze zijn tevens goed van smaak. Ook kunt u jam of sap maken van de bessen. Soms worden ze gedroogd tot krenten. U kunt er zelfs thee van zetten.

Oogsttip: knip altijd eerst de takjes met bessen af, daarna met een snoeischaar de besjes van de takken af.
