Gosset Champagne is het oudst bestaande champagne huis. De naam Gosset werd in 1584 al opgericht door Pierre Gosset, toentertijd wethouder in het pittoreske Ay. Echter was Gosset in haar beginjaren alleen gespecialiseerd in stille wijnen; champagne moest immers nog ontwikkelt worden. Nog steeds vind je het indrukwekkende champagne huis in de gemeente Ay. Dit dorpje is een geliefde bestemming voor veel champagne liefhebbers. Toonaangevende champagne huizen zoals Bollinger, Ayala en Deutz hebben hier bijvoorbeeld nog steeds hun wijnhuis gevestigd. Gosset Champagne is een relatief klein champagne huis. Echter hebben zij een eigen identiteit die in geen enkele champagne verloren gaat. Gosset 12 ans de Cave a Minima bestaat uit de beste trossen chardonnay en pinot noir, afkomstig van de mooiste wijngaarden. Speciaal geselecteerd door de keldermeester van Gosset Champagne. Zo is de chardonnay afkomstig van wijngaarden in gemeentes Avize, Cramant en het toonaangevende Mesnil-sur-Oger, terwijl de Pinot Noir van de geclassificeerde wijngaarden in Ay, Louvois, Ambonnay, Bouzy en Verzy komen. Deze dorpjes staan bekend om hun voortreffelijke Pinot Noir druiven. Na de traditionele vinificatie en de twee gisting op fles, Methode traditionelle genoemd, gaat de champagne rijpen in de magnifieke kelders van Champagne Gosset. Zoals de naam van Gosset 12 ans de Cave a Minima al doet vermoeden, blijven de flessen minstens 12 jaar rijpen. Dit om ervoor te zorgen dat de champagne een complexe, intense en heerlijke smaak krijgt. Maar wat krijg je, zodra de iconische champagne kurk de fles Gosset 12 ans de Cave a Minima verlaat. Een enkele slok brengt je naar een waar paradijs. Subtiele hinten van sinaasappel en citroen. Iets pittigs van gember en gekonfijt fruit. Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters.
That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception.
SPOILER:
The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured.
I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action

This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4.
Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down.
There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books.
The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
