Bloei en blad Struikspirea - Spiraea japonica 'Albiflora'

De compacte en opvallende bloemen van deze plant zijn cremewit van kleur. De bloemen bloeien van ca. juli en augustus. De bladeren zijn bleekgeel van kleur. Struikspirea verdraagt een temperatuur tot -30 graden Celsius.

Aanplanting als vakbeplanting

De Japanse Struikspirea is te gebruiken zonder specifieke eisen aan hun standplaats. Deze zeer winterharde plant heeft een grote sierwaarde, zoals als accentplant in het openbare groenzones en in de tuin. Deze Spirea plant wenst een voedselrijke, vochthoudende tot vochtige bodem. Voor wat betreft de zuurgraad is ze vrij tolerant (pH = 5.5 - 8). De tuinplant verlangt naar een plekje in de halfzon of lichte schaduw.

Struikspirea combineren

Deze wit bloeiende Japanse Struikspirea is goed te combineren met 'rotstuin' planten en andere schaduwplanten zoals Schaduwkruid en Hartlelie maar ook met Vlinderstruiken en compacte bomen die zorgen voor schaduw. Ook te combineren met andere soorten Struikspirea's die voldoende afsteken qua bladkleur. Of combineren met Laurier struiken en bottelroos.

Bijzonderheden

De Struikspirea kan zeer goed tegen snoeien en is ideaal als solitaire plant, maar kan ook goed als borderplant dienen. Zeer veel gebruikt in openbaar groen van overheden en onderhoudsvriendelijke bedrijfs- en kantoortuinen.

I would have liked much more character development, and better cadence and dialogue.
