Shapednoise is Italian producer Nino Pedone, and since emerging in the early 2010s he's built a name for himself issuing music that bridges the gap between the basement and the club. Noise and techno are proven bedfellows at this point (for better or for worse), but Pedone pushes harder and further, and Different Selves, as the title suggests, is his most diverse and challenging work to date. Fusing the industrial grind of early Godflesh (Justin K. Broadrick even makes an appearance on opening track Enlightenment) with the raw power of mid-'90s D&B, the visceral pleasure of early grime, and the ominous scrape of dark ambient, Shapednoise expertly navigates unfamiliar territory. Whether traversing beatless outworld landscapes with Travels in the Universe of the Soul or assaulting the senses with the acidic, rhythmic blast of Heart Energy Shape, there's a sense that Shapednoise is exploring his own boundaries. Different Selves is a challenging, unruly selection of tracks; not a deconstruction of club music, but an amplification, blowing every sound out to near cacophony. The result is truly explosive. Close to 5 stars. Only minor complaint is somewhat shorter battery life then expected. But since it is rechargeable, not a big deal. Like the adjustable grinder and the clear container so you can see how much it has.

Great salt and pepper set! I love that it has a light that makes it easier to see how much is coming out. Very easy to use, easy to fill, nice selection of grind sizes. It is also nice that it has a base to hold it because there is a very small amount of salt that comes off the bottom so it keeps it from going on the counter while not in use - it's not leaking, just leftover residue from the grind you have just finished.

They’re nice… if they work…

I ordered four of these grinders and two of them broke down while a third never started up. I am honestly disappointed in the failure rate of these otherwise nice grinders. If only one grinder in a two-pack failed, I would’ve just taken it on the chin and moved on. But three out of four total is unacceptable.
I like the way they look, and the grind speed and settings are nice. But there’s a serious durability problem they need to fix.
